You are actually,,, laughter is always good medicine. At this point, I need it,,, soon, when I catch up with Tom,, he will need it [bigwhistle]
Had this very discussion with someone the other day. "working Bitser's" we reckon are far more desirable than one that looks like its just come off the showroom floor,, Not to take anything away from those that have spent hours upon hours restoring, but it leaves us too afraid something will mark it, but a bitser, well, its just another trophy scar eh? Thank you, I feel quite humbled.
It beats crying.
I was actually referring to .......Quote:
Speed says 26,776 Miles - who knows if it is real or not?
Tom,
Nice find, especially considering the panel condition.
Mine has the rubber blocks on the bonnet the same as yours.
Chassis number on mine is on top of the passenger side dumb iron just behind where the bumper mounts although as mentioned it varies depending on the CKD assembler. Yours has a number on the side of the passenger side dumb iron but not long enough to be a chassis number unless the rest is hidden.
Horn button is normally broken where people lever it to get it off, mine is broken in almost exactly the same spot as yours. It still works so I left it as is.
You just need to decide where this fits in the grand scheme of things and which vehicle now takes priority. I flit between a couple of vehicles and never seem to be really moving forward......

Thanks for everyone’s replies.
The current project is the Freelander.
Next - probably the ‘54 S1.
After that? Hmm? It might be easier to do the 107” or I might be tired of Series and start on the 2 Door Rangie....
Back to the Freelander for now... [emoji1303][emoji3]
So glad to see you are not a procrastinator.[smilebigeye]
Hey - I have 6 registered (club plates) Land Rovers... I started on the first one 7 years ago, so my conversation rate isn’t that bad! [emoji1303][emoji3]
Not bad at all. It must look like a Grand Final Car Park around your way.
My S2A took just under one year so can appreciate the effort you have put in.:TakeABow:
