Good Morning.
Looking at a 6 cylinder rover engine today.
Got me thinking as the oil filter assembly was on the LH side of the engine.
Could this be fitted to a Siamese bore engine in any way ????
Also Diesel motors have small fuel filter assembly usually on bulkhead.... Could this be added to the Siamese bore motor, as an oil filter ????
Thanks for your comments.

I bought one of these from the series one club shop UK Attachment 164011Attachment 164012 Attachment 164013 Takes a Ford Focus filter. I had an original Rover filter still in the Rover box , I sold it on Ebay & got enough to get this one from the UK.
I can't comment on the 6 cylinder filter, but the CAV fuel filter is not designed for the pressures involved, although it may withstand it. The critical situation would be a cold start with viscous oil.
Good morning.
I see from these holes, Rossco had grab rails.
Are these STD through the series range.
Thanks

I think there were a couple of different types , but don't quote me on that . I seam to remember many years ago ( like 30years) seeing a different type on a S1 to the ones I have . From memory there was a difference in the bend or the pressing were it mounts on to the chassis . But as is don't quote me on that my memory is not that good.[bighmmm]
They were fitted to all Series Landrovers except some specials lots such as some military versions. They were present on the Centre-steer, on the first pre-production model, and on the last Series 3 (and, I think, on the last Defender).
I am almost certain they are interchangeable right through, and I think all the Series ones are identical, although they may have come from different subcontractors and may have had different part numbers and perhaps fine details as a result.
