Good Evening.
Mystery bolt removed. Not over tight. Banjo bolt screwed in by hand. Nothing damaged. PO probably put in hand tight and gentle nip.
Sump plug rounded and a PITA to remove. Sized down once out. No Nasties in engine oil. New oil in.
Cranking engine, oil pumps to head. [thumbsupbig]
Fitting starter must have been a after thought, once lower banjo bolt hole had been located and threaded. ????

Good Morning.
Pick up a complete but worn nut, steering box from BSF. (Thanks)
Showed a old engineering mate this idea.

No problem was his reply.
Took about an hr. 99% zinc
All play removed. 5mm free play on outer edge of steering wheel. Play in drop arm shaft button.
SAE 250 going into the box. His suggestion, as he uses it in steering boxes in his old Dodges. Most have wooden spoked wheels.
What size modern oil seal replaces the old, double leather drop arm shaft ones ????
Thanks.

My '51 chassis number is on top by the LH engine mount.

Small rust hole in rear cross member.
Cut out, new low drain hole should remove future issues.
