    Make sure you anneal the copper washer that goes under the endcap. For some reason they tend to be supplied dead hard (if you even get one in the kit !).

    How did you hold the M/C while undoing the end nut ? Any damage?.W.

    In the vice, with a rag around it.

    Risk of damage is from the pipe union boss pressing into the edge of the vice. To avoid this I used a bit of 4mm soft aluminium plate between the MC boss and the vice. No damage.
