Wow - he has gotta be joking - my series 1 is only 300 cars later than this, is fully original, complete and runs and cost a third of the this car's starting price - and I thought I paid about $200 too much.
He is dreaming:angel:

Hi NM
The vehicle was on Ebay last month
Had a look
it's worth $2.50, not enough left to interest a scrap dealer
chassis is rusted out
re member is a heap of rust, all but no steel left
etc etc etc etc
happy bidding
cheers
Ian
Is it a 55 86"? - it has a 88" front radiator panel and I cannot tell if it has the extra length in the front guards that an 88 has. Plus - I thought that was the reason that the series 1 went to 88" - so that the diesel could go in - in short I didn't think there were 86" diesels.
Garry
You're right Garry, no diesel in 86", so it's either a transplant or it's an 88".
I cant tell from the photos either. And what's the military running gear?
Going by the pics it looks like it has 2A diffs fitted as the wheels look to be sitting out futher then they normaly do with series 1 diffs. It looks to be an 86" as I can see the wing steady arm bolt close to the wheel arch & not futher back like on the 88", also looks like the door tops were from a 107" or 109" going by the grey paint on the inside too.
