Apparently, there were others at the auction where it may have remained in a collection of unrestored vehicles for some time and others who just wanted it as a paddock basher.

    Hi Diana,

Thanks for the kind words. Have just seen the re-appearance of this post. Must have missed the thread the first time around.

Been reading lots of great info through the restoration of the 86 and thought it only appropriate (albeit late) to start contributing. Will open a thread for both.

The 86 is now close but still not quite there. I've stopped counting the number of deadlines . It was mean to be a Cooma attendee but had to fall back to the 'fender

The 48 has been parked carefully awaiting its turn. I didn't want to mix up any bits. It's enough trouble keeping everything in order on 1 at a time. Just gathering bits and pieces and organising a new shed so that I can have more room to do it properly.

I was under the impression that the 86 had been finished, however not a problem the work I have seen of it was excellent and am glad you also have the pre-1500 '48.

It is soooo true about having bits of one project at one time. I have bits of 4 projects collecting together, alongside 3 project vehicles that don't even belong to me and it can be a nightmare.

My plans for Cooma came to naught, no 1951, no SIIB and even my RRc let me down en-route.

    Keep us updated.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
