Great work mate![]()
Brakes all going and have just ordered my canopy. Now (fingers crossed) I shall have my missing hood bows by Wednesday
.
Have given up on original tail lights as they are just too hexy; so I am ordering early series 2 types.
Hopefully I shall be up to painting the interior in 3 weeks once the rubbers around the windscreen are replaced.![]()
Great work mate![]()
Well - I have thrown soem paint around the interior today (dash, floor panels, around gearbox etc) Tomorrow there will be new rubbers going ove rthe tunnel etc and then onto the paint at the rear of the cab.
Easo dropped in - good to meet him finally. Landrover talk and a few beers - hence the painting stopped for the day.![]()
Damn Troy, you flying!, speakingof screen seals what you doing there? mine is fruited but I think I can go close with something from jacksons only seems to be the lower edge that has a seal cant be too hard to cobble something up, cowl vent seals?, your doing well.
Still searching for seals and would happily take anyones advice. I have been searching for things that may 'just come close' but without luck.
I need:
1. the door seals - easily enough to compromise thru Rare Spares here in Wodonga
2. Seal under windscreen to bulkhead - I am stumped....
3. Seal above windscreen to roof - yep ... stumped again (may just cut my own from some sheet rubber)..dunno
On a good note - the paint in the cab is drying now and I should be able to get into the thing again this week after work. I do need help locating the sliding windows for the two front doors (unless I just get some glass cut here ans say thats close enough...)
Did include a photo of the cab at the moment.![]()
Have a mate looking at repairing my two bent hood bows this week as my contact (previously mentioned) in Qld has gone very quiet. But ... I shall try to get hold of him again this week.

I know i flog this place a little but i got most of my seals from FWD's in melbourne . Not to badly priced either
That or try clarke rubber .
Thanks Mick. I tend to go to this place a fair bit as well but they have been unable to help in this case. Carke Rubber have door rubbers but I have been unlucky when it comes to around the windscreen. I shall be trying scott's old auto rubber this week. Fingers crossed![]()
Hi there Troy
I had the same problem - I had to get the windscreen rubber from the UK.
Let me know if you find anything else in Australia.
All the best
Wayne
Jacksons have a huge range of extrusions, I am going to snip the end of mine and see what can be found, as for the top seal, some sikkaflex will sort that out, like your interior Troy, shes coming along really well.
