As I am not really happy with my second coat I have tracked down a mate who has done a lot more spray painting than me and I am going to use his set-up for the final coat; with a bit of practise before hand. Might find a spare panel to paint for a bit I reckon

Sanding back wont occur until next week (Anzac Day then a quick trip to Melbourne) with the final painting of what I started on happening either first up in May or at least before mid May

Of course there is then the doors, bonnet and tailgate - but they pretty much just need a tidy up and some paint to look the bit.

Photos will (of course) be with it all.

I am leaving on Friday to pick up some more spare parts for my 80" project and I reckon that I shall end up with a fair bit to trade etc so "watch this space" ... photos to follow

Hope all is well mate - up in the NT.

Yeah, has not been to bad. We are out at Coonawarra with the hordes of midges but not the wet is over they have really backed off, not before leaving their scaring mark on Harry and Jacks legs. We've got good neighbors. My next door has a 130 TD5 single cab defender and a D1 TDi so its LR street at the moment. Have caught up with a few NT-AULROians and had lunch. Can't wait to do it again. My S1 has not been touched since it got off the truck, again in a bad running state. Its all out of timing and is backfiring, I just had it tuned by a Bandie mate before we left.

I'm chasing up a S1 lead at the moment. A bloke in Virginia apparently has 15 S1's in his paddock. We'll see.

    Cheers Easo
