Hi there all
As "Back-in" is having trouble uploading pictures he has sent these to me to share.
As you can see its a work of art.
The new mould/die for the door opening
Brand new home made door skins - proir to painting
The unpainted new door skin
The rear tub - prior to painting
Alot of rivets to replace......
Ribs and cross-members - new and re-galvanised.
Alot of rubbing and primming......and rubbing again
The inside rear seat box........better than new.
Another picture of inside the tub
The tub at a nice working height......
Then painted - with new galvanised trim and lots of rivets......
Well done buddy and keep up the good work
PS - when your finished.......
Wayne
Thanks Wayne
My photo bucket a/c will not behave itself.
With Wayne's help a couple of photo's to show the old fellow is still at it
I would have been lost without the Rotisserie, been able to rotate the tub nearly 360 was a big help.
The ribs under the Tub were .8 mm Al. no strength at all, replaced with 1 mm Galv, could put a Elephant (well a small one) in the back now.
The door skins were easy once I obtained the die for the opening.
Even got the second fold in the bottom.
The floor had been rolled many times fore and aft and weeks of tapping and filling dents, top and bottom.
Finding countersunk rivets for the floor was some more fun.
Spot welds marks are made by heating a 1/4 inch rod to red heat and burning the primer to make a neat hole before putting the top coat on.
will add more soon as I still have a stack of photo's to come.
cheers
Ian
