Well if someone can get an old one to me, the development can at least start; although I have a heap of other jobs in the queue first.
There you go chazza,
I'd be happy to support the cost of development.- and buy a couple!
I reckon you'd sell a few dozen at least, going on the extreme price of an originals and the number of bids they get at $500 to $600 a pair!

There is a bloke in NZ who makes repro plastic lenses for older cars and his work is first class ..but not cheap . I know he does 1950's Ford Thames van front parking light lenses ..exact copies of the originals . I can find out more if people are interested .

						hi charlie,
i might be able to help here with the loan of a spare body/lens. It's a bit rough but all original. Unlike the ones on ebay a couple of months back it doesn't have the reflectors in the centre but is a very shallow behive shape.
Let me know where it needs to get to so that we can get started. Been a real pain to collect a couple for my 55 which is not far from back on the road. If anybody has some bases going spare ......
cheers,
Dane
Hi there
A little off topic but why we are mentioning the Adelaide Company "Classic Vintage Bulbs"
They are now making repro "D" lights and are being sent to the UK for sale. So when you buy your next set of "D" light from a couple of the reputable UK companies "theres a fairly good chance there made in Australia"
Good to see some smaller Aussie companies keeping the vintage Land Rover scene alive and thriving.
Wayne.

As mentioned earlier this place in Minto makes repro lenses
David Azzopardi Manufacturing - Plastic Lenses
There have been a few pork pies on ebay UK recently all supposedly original. However I have noticed they have different lenses. One lot has a reflector in the middle of the lense and the other does not but seems to have concentic rings moulded to the inside surface.
What lense goes with what series 1.
Thanks
Garry
