Great photo's Chris. It looks better than new. You uploaded a video recently, was there some sort of trick to that. I'm struggling a bit. It's only 2.1MB, but the system seems to crash everytime I try...anyway glad to see yours looking so good.

I've finally got my 56" started, small step, but all that carbon monoxide smells good, well.... for a second, until I ran choking out the garage.

    hi Iannuls,

thanks for your compliments mate. As for the videos i never really tried uploading directly through AULRO. i've got a YouTube account and all my videos are uploaded on that Website, then i just copy the url link of my video from youtube and paste it in my thread or new post here on AULRO. and then when you post the reply it automatically inserts the Video box in your thread section.......... hope that made sense

know the feeling of carbon monoxide in the garage..........

So your Landy Did you have to do much to the Engine to get it running?
i read your post Re: Starter motor. i've never attempted to rebuild one yet.
post some pics of your Beast would like to see it.

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Post Steering Wheel Centre Cap

    G'day,

over last week i fabricated the centre cap for the steering wheel.
origionally the Landy had the horn dip switch fitted and now that i had fitted an NOS S2A Army steering Column it has a solid shaft. I had refurbished that centre cap but will now use it for my 1950 LR.

So i cut some extruded styrofoam and shaped it to fit in the centre bit of the steering wheel. I then coated it with Epoxy Resin and some fine Matt fibre glass sheet. once cured i gave it a light sand and coat with body filler then another sand + primer then sand 800 wet and dry and top coat in acryllic black. Just a note that Polyester Resin will melt styrofoam.

    some pics attached below.

    cheers, Chris

    Post Battery Clamp

    Hi again,

With the battery clamp, i got it off a 2A LR, and it was slightly rusted on the long pieces, so i cut them off and found some scrap angle and welded it back together, its much stronger and should now hold the battrey firmly in place.

    as good as gold.......!
