    My plans are to restore it mechanicaly, rust proof the chassis and fire but leave the body as is, I love the well used but not abused look. Though may have to tidy up the front guards so it can pass rego.

    Good on you Mate. I agree with the substance of your rebuild plans. I would never aspire to own a Land Rover that I was afraid of scratching the duco.

    Just picked up this bitza of an 86" today. The motor runs like a swiss watch and it goes very well too. Not bad for $100.
