    Gearbox bits

    hi All,

My S1 has had its overdrive removed and was wondering what i need to replace in order to get it going again. I know i need the backing plate for the gearbox and an internal gear/bearing? Was quoted $$$ for this but just want to get the old girl going again. Does anyone have spares floating around cheaply and are these two the only things missing. I believe all series are the same, is this true. Will for example a S2/S3 gearbox bits fit the S1, mines a 55 model 86inch. cheers

They are all the same S1 - SIII - except for the ones off the all helical transfer box on the forward controls and 1 ton models.

All you need are the bits you mention, a gasket or sealant and the studs, spring washers and nuts.

Getting very close to a wanted ad though.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

There was a "overdrive removal kit" listed on E-Bay a while back. It was from a dealer, so may be available again.
