Heya Numpty - they came on the vehicle - they are not the right size (205 X 16) and are pretty well knackered - I've ordered 5 "original" tyres (non directional lugged 6 X 16) through Glen @ $150.00 each - you can have these ones - the front 2 are OK ish!

Yes, the panels are very straight - a few dings, but 'Tilly was working in the paddocks right up until I got her. And Harry did manage to straighten up a few spots somewhat, but yeah, it's not easy with brimalite.

Yeah - even with a new muffler, apparently she is still a little loud - I guess that's just a S1 thing! :)

Going in for a tune up tomorrow so maybe that might help.

The paint is just called Sound Deadener there are several brands just make sure you but the bitumen based one not the water based one;)

On my Series 3 there was a fare bit of panel damage to the left guard...ho har after panel beating it so stretching the aluminium he heated it up to quite hot and and it all came back onto shape...but you have to be careful not to heat it up too much or it will melt:(

There is a trick for the unpracticed with aluminum softening before banging it.

Light up your oxy acetylene torch but only the acetylene so that you get a big black plume of smoke. Cover the area you wish to work with the soot. Turn on the oxy for a nice flame then burn the soot off but no more. By burning the soot off gives you about the correct temperature to soften the alloy so you can work it. if you have a crease just soften a thin line of the crease, this leaves the area you want to work softer than the rest of the panel and easier to bend.
of course if you know what you are doing none of this is necessary LOL
