Hi there,
the landie looks fantastic, but what caught my eye was in the shed!
A 4 post vehicle hoist.
Now that must have been a real help in doing the restoration.
wish I had one, they cost about $3500 and with some, you can even store a vehicle overhead and work on the one on the ground!
Is that enamel that you sprayed it with or a 2 PAC mix? :)
Peter
i was wondering what paint you used for the chassis its what i want
The HarMeister's hoist - and shed, is simply above and beyond - and it was invaluable to get stuff done on the vehicle.
We used the original paint code (Deep Bronze Green), in enamel.
Hope we can compare notes sometime, mildred. :)
Harry sprayed a noise deadener black concoction - looks good, and if it kills excess racket, all the better! :D
I will ask ho har the sound deadener name...you buy it in a tin which screws straight on the the spray gun;)...works a treat no noisy stones hitting the floor:D
Mrs hh:angel:
thanks it looks very similar to the chassis paint on the td5 and if it deadens the noise even better
When I drove my series one on club plates, it was so noisy that I had to wear ear muffs and I also wore my bicycle helmet.
I used to get strange looks when stopped in traffic or the lights.;)
Because it had no seat belts, my helmet was my only insurance if I was hit up the rear, and the ear muffs made the noise level ...just tolerable:spudnikheadphones:
