Like Lost Landy, I like the weathered look. As long as the silver doesn't come up too bling, It should look quite smart with the quality of the body paint you have (much better than mine).
Are you going to do all the gal parts, ie windscreen frame?

After having a chat with Mooloolah Paul, I definitely will. As he has mentioned, he used the exact same Cold Gal, then finished it off with the exact same White Knight paint as I plan to use - in the piccy below (of Paul's lovely truck), can you tell which is the painted part and which is the original Gal?

You must admit - it looks very good.

Actually, after another quiet moment with Matilda , and looking at her gal capping, I reckon I'll leave the rest of it alone - it's in such good nick it would be wrong to paint it.

But the tailgate needed it - I'll post again when it's done.

I actually think the raw, cold gal paint would be a brilliant all-over colour for a new Defender. I seem to remember a "Defender-raw" limited edition one a few years back...

    ...Ah. Here it is...

No need! They can just come on through the gate - anytime! Actually, I'll have to be careful what I say - Grover is starting to get mighty ****ed by this 1955 upstart.

Grover will get used to it Dan and actually they will become quite good friends when they realise how much they have in common. After all, Gandalf and Leon have happily resided side by side in the garage for a number of years now.

Heritage is something that is bred into the young.

Quite right Perry! I think Grover sees Matilda as being that annoying Aunty that has outstayed her welcome. But as you say, they will (have to) become good friends.

So if a Series 1 and Defender had a bastard love-child... what do you suppose that would look like?

Maybe you should screen around your car port to give them some privacy and see what transpires...

    ...maybe you'll score yourself a new 90.
