It never happened remember
Sounds good though, especially with a straight body and hopefully rust free chassis.

i am not sure if this is the correct section for this but any way...
on the weekend i was up in the ovens valley and came across a property with many old land rovers on it.
of the 10 or more land rovers on this property, one of them was a totally complete 107 pick up. the body was as close to new as i have ever seen on a land rover and the owner told me it still had its original engine and gearbox. his reason for letting it sit there was that is needed a new wire to the ignition and that was it.
he said for the right price he would sell it, he was hinting at about 2 grand. is this about right for such a vehicle? i certainly could not spot any thing wrong with it. very solid and straight.

						marcello,
To the old timers that picked up their series one for a dozen stubbies $2k will appear steep, for anyone looking to get into a hobby now $2k for a goer in original condition will be a fair deal.

						Gee
after spending something like Rudd's cost to Australia in the last 18 months on a ground up 109
$2k's is cheap, if the car is 1/2 as good as it sounds
cheers

sorry for no pics, the car is a 3 hour drive from me but i will be up that way soon so i will try to get some pics then.
if any one is interested in it let me know as the bloke who owns it is a bit strange and he does not like people knocking on his door. i met him through one of his friends other wise there was no way he was going to let me on his property to se his collection of 15 or so landrovers.
from what he said, the car will go, it just needs a wire connected that his dog managed to pull out. he said he will sell it if the price is right i thik it is a 1958 model. in sand coloured paint that looks to be every bit the orignal factory paint.
Are you sure it is a 107 and not a 109. If 58 is most likely to be a 109.

i am not too familiar with series 1 landrovers but i thought that a 109 wheelbase was only found on series 2 cars.
this is definitely a series 1 lwb pickup, i just dont know the wheelbase length and the year.
the owner told me the he thinks it is a late series one. i will try get pics soon.
i was thinking of maybe even doing a deal with the owner to sell some of his cars to people who are keen to rebuild them as he is a landrover enthusiast but is too old to sell them himself but he told me he wants them to be preserved.
i know there is at least 2 military landorvers in there and a swb factory diesel. a stage one and some series 2 2a 3 and series 1s too. very cool collection.
As Garry said, if it's a '58 it's a 109.
