Help - Veh ID to chasis no 702922D

I've acquired a long wheel base 2 door/cab Land Rover with no engine/chassis plate in the engine bay. I have however located a number, 702922D, stamped on the rear spring mount on passenger side of the vehicle. The Capital D is half the font size of the numbers.

Can anyone help with any information that might help in identifying the model and year of the vehicle. I also welcome any other information that would help identify it's possible history. Where it may have come from and where it may have been.

The vehicle appears to have a number of paint jobs.
May have started green, then an air force blue and now appears to be handed painted white.

    many thanks
    mark

That number doesn't seem long enough. Mine is 8 digits and a letter.

The missing numbers are possibly 24 which would give it the following info:
    24702922

247 Model: Land Rover, Series IIA
    Body type: 1-ton
    Wheel base: 109in
    Engine: petrol
    Model years: 1968-1971
    Destination: Export, right-hand drive (RHD)
    02922 Serial number
D Design: Three significant design modifications
Suffix used from April 1967 till March 1968

That is, of course, assuming the first 2 digits
