Land Rover Series 1 - 3 Engine Mount Set (eBay item 220737312586 end time 12-Mar-11 08:15:30 AEDST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats

you can use the petrol mounts temporarily, they will have a life expectancy of about 12 months under the diesel.
there isnt that much difference in the weight of the diesel to the petrol with most of the components being the same.
From memory there is also an orientation on some of the non OEM units, they have a "catch lip" built into them so that if the rubber completely collapses the mounts will go metal on metal and catch without the sump hitting the diff.
hey, its not a setback, its a learning opportunity.

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
FWIW I use 110/V8 county mounts in my IIA (2.25D and box). You need to trim the corners off a couple as they are larger diameter, however they work well and last a long time IME.
thanks a lot for your help guys much appreciated
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
