What a surprise another set back

So went to put the engine on this evening and low and behold naother problem.

Looking at the mounts that we ordered from paddocks they appear to have sent us the wrong one.

On mu invoice I have 2054 and they have sent 2052 which is the engine/ gearbox mount for the diesel engine.

Now the engine mounts for the diesel that I have seen have been Square but these are round. however I double checked and they are listed on there site as being for the diesel and gearbox.

Does anyone have a clue as to whether I can use them still? I contacted paddocks but they are shut today

Never seen round diesel mounts, May be new or one size fits all.
I have used diesel mounts in a petrol before, they last longer
    no difference in my opinion.......

could it be that the diesel just needs tougher mounts because its heavier maybe?

Yes, lots more vibration in a diesel. Work just fine in a petrol

    What diameter are they?

My gearbox ones are ~51mm diameter and my engine ones are ~57mm diameter - measured at the skinniest part of the 'waist' (I bought a new set recently).

I thought 2.25 petrol and diesel were essentially the same block? Which would mean the same mounts...

    *shrugs*

The set of 2 I purchased were clearly different and marked 'engine' and 'gearbox'
