I have heard that some kind of two barrel carb was used on the last of the series 3 2.25's but only in the UK? I think it was a weber.

There is much more to gain by fitting some Lukey brand extractors to a 2.25, there is slight increase in power, but more importantly, it gets away from the manifold cracking problem.
Holden carbies fitted to the 2.25 ( or holden motors ) always gave trouble, as they flood or starve when driving offroad, depending on which way they where tilted in respect to the float hinge.
