Thread: Oil Filter

I just replaced the short oil filter on my 2.25l engine with an early long one
,mainly because I still had one. Is there something I should look out for or be aware of,they must have had a reason to change the length.

More vulnerable to damage from sticks etc, although I doubt this is a significant problem. The main concern I would have would be the price and availability of elements - the short ones are readily available and cheap.
