Can't comment on the power handling capability - it depends on too many variables such as tyre diameter and weight on the front axle. But the Rover differential, dating, unless I am mistaken, from 1932, is not as strong as the others you mention. 
All parts are readily available and cheap compared to alternatives. Unless it has been changed, the diff ratio will be 4.7, although this is interchangeable with 3.54 Rover diffs used on a wide variety of Landrovers and Rangerovers.
