Update
Hi All,
More small jobs (which take quite some time) done over the last few days...
Firewall Bracket for Brake/Clutch Return Springs - Painted:

Air Cleaner "horn" - Painted:

Axle Cap - Before, Cleaned and Painted:

External Door Hinges - Before, Cleaned and Painted:

Radiator Hoses Clips (Top/Middle/Bottom) - Before and After Cleaning:

Outrigger Bracket - Before, and After Cleaning:

Canopy Nuts/Bolts/Washers (not sure how original these are..) - Before and After Cleaning:

Seat Knobs - Seat Base - Before and After Cleaning:

Seat Knobs - Rear Tub Wall - Before and After Cleaning:

Original Battery Box - Painted:

Replacement Battery Box (with Air Cleaner Holder) - Before and Painted:

Spare Wheel (Tub Wall) Bolt/Washers - Before and After:

20 Wheel Nuts - Before, Cleaned and Painted:

Tailgate Hinge - Before, Cleaned and Painted:

Internal Door Hinge stuff - cleaned:

It is amazing what markings/symbols you find on things once they have been cleaned! There is writing on the barrel of the Radiator Hose clips which reads " UTILUX No. 1 Australia".
I also had the tyres removed from the rims and I dropped them off at the Sand Blaster. Interestingly the inside of the rims - the bit that you never see unless the tyre is off the rim, where painted in 3 different colours (deep green, deep red, and silver).

Radiator hose clips: surely you could have just bought new ones? All that effort for a 50c piece?

Radiator hose clamps, good quality type are very expensive for what they are, you cant buy the older style anymore well here in my part of the world anyway.
I do the self and same thing if I think the part is worth 5 minutes in the grit blasting cabinet
Methinks the canopy bolts are a bodge, I'm not sure if I have any down in my shed, if you are not in a big rush for them I will have a look, but ATM I'm replacing some items on my 110, and trying to get organised for the weekend away, cheers Dennis

Nice work Tom, loving the progress so far. I'm going to buy shares in the company that makes all the sandwich bags

after all you will be buying a lot more before you are done.
My personal favourite are the bank coin bags, perfect for groups of screws etc, and they are free!!!
Will be watching with interest. I too have canopy bolts if you want some.

Update
Hi All,
More work done last night.... (Still a massive amount of jobs to do though).
Outrigger Brackets - painted:

Nuts/Bolts for Radiator - before and after:

Vent re-assembled:

Other vent being sanded/cleaned:

Nuts/Bolts for vents - before, and after cleaning (a lot of work here - very difficult to clean the small washers, split washers, nuts):

Brake/Clutch Pedal Boxes - I forgot to take a before photo, but you can imagine how filthy they were.. And I mean filthy!... Not the easiest of things to sand/clean either.... After cleaning:

jakeslouw - I am trying to keep the car as original as possible, replace what is broken, restore what isn't! It's all part of the story - yes there is a lot of effort involved, but it is a hobby after all.
That's all for today's update...
Regards,
The Grey Ghost.
