hi all, i found these under my bungalow, i believe they are front gaurds off a early mdl landrover,one has a hole in it (not sure what for).
They are aluminium and in a army green ,could anyone tell me what year these are off and iff there worth anything! thanks ben

Sounds and looks like the LH and RH outer guard panels for a Series 3 - possibly also military in origin from the colour. The hole in the LH panel is for the heater fan inlet.
No idea what they are worth.

SupporterSaw your ad on ebay - not sure they are rare whether mil or not. Other than the colour what makes you think they are ex mil. I thought series 3s mil guards were cut (certainly all the series 3s on REMLR I have looked at had cut guards).
I would have thought that these are ordinary series 3 guards (because of the hole and no cut guards) that just happen to have been a olive drab colour.

2A front guards are cut on ex-mil. I am not aware of any differences between civy and ex-mil Series 3 front guards other than colour and holes for tac plate holders and gardening tools.Originally Posted by garrycol

The photo Gary has supplied shows an 88", which is a bit of an oddity. Apart from one or two triallers, there were no SWB series 3's.
Where did you find that one? I can't see it......... I must be getting old.
