    WA Paint suppliers??

    How every one,

Can some one recommend a paint supplier in WA (south of river - i'm in Ravenswood) that can mix the Deep Bronze Green: BS 381 - 224.

i visited my local paint supplier in Mandurah and they couldn't/didn't have the paint code, but they did have a Land Rover Deep Bronze Green on their computer so i went with that for a test can and it is off the mark considerably.

the can i have has 619 on it, not sure of the full code as they only put 619 on it.

    cheers

There are lots of threads on this subject.
The paint code is very old and pigments have changed over the years so even if you get the correct formulation it may turn out incorrect.

Every paint shop I've been to want a sample to match even if it's a fairly recent colour (probably fed up with customers coming back to complain.....)

You need something that hasn't seen much sunlight (so it isn't faded). One suggestion is the handbrake lever blanking plate on the passenger side. Clean the back of this and take it down so that they can match the colour.

    Thanks grommet,

i have removed the panel that holds the speedo and taken it down to them, they said they should be able to do a good job matching it, just have to wait a few days as i have to go off to work
