Thanks again fellas for the feed back. I will check out the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust and see what they may have for me. As far as tools go I think I'm pretty well kitted out . My old man was a mechanical engineer in the RN (submariner) and was pretty handy with the tools and had a comprehensive rang of the old and the new.
Will have a look at what's on offer from the "Shop" for manuals etc. Makes sense to shop locally so to speak.
Jock I'll check the step by step procedure for loading photos. So much to learn before I've even started on the Landy!
I'll be back with photos hopefully next time I post.

G'day and welcome George,
It's a shame you live so far away otherwise you could come over and pick some parts off my SIIa LWB.
All the best with your restoration.
Nathan.

Thanks for the offer Nathan. I have been lucky to find a short wheel base 11a locally that runs which I'm getting to replace the diff. $ 500 for a running motor and sound spares was a pretty good deal I thought. Have also heard of another shorty which is also local and is also running. It's amazing what crawls out of the wood work when you give it a poke.
Problem now is to stay focused on noe rebuild!!!
I had a look at how to post photo's but being a little bit slow on the uptake and a total novice, I need to be taken back to stage I being.... I have taken photo so then I do what?.... to put it onto computer and then what?...to load into my own gallery on aurlo site.
Cheers
George

No problems. It's great you managed to get a bargain.
Nathan.
