But you didn't tell us your chassis number!
There are Australian sources (not in the public domain) that may be able to narrow down the date a little better.![]()
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Mine was obviously assembled in Sydney, but came straight over to WA and from reading previous posts the information seem to drop of once they left NSW?
I'd very much like to know as much as is available?

Thanks!

Unusually your chassis number is actually listed with the other 5 vehicles in the batch but then crossed out with the comment "Faulls P/L to WA x PMC 10/2/59". the batch #451 through #456 were all "standard" meaning soft top. No other details are recorded.
Up until 1973, each state had a master distributor who maintained the records for vehicles sold in that state.
In 1973 distribution across the entire country was transferred to a new Leyland Australia owned entity Leyland Truck & Bus.
In NSW we were lucky that a Southern Sydney Rover/Land Rover dealer "Arthur Garthon"* was able to acquire the records before they were sent to the rubbish.
The Annand & Thompson Brisbane records were damaged in the 1974 floods and were unusable when transferred to Leyland Truck & Bus so they were thrown out.
The current status of other records is currently unknown, although there is some suspicion that PMC production records were returned to the UK and are currently awaiting review at the BMIHT at Gaydon. I've heard rumours that some of the Faulls (Subiaco WA) records exist but have never seen them personally.
* Arthur Garthon, is the grandfather of Will, Mr Landy on AULRO.
