Thanks a lot for that Dennis. :)
I'm not a fan of that position though because when you open the door, the tops hit the mirror.
Although if you have a proper door retainer maybe they don't.
I have sourced some other material so watch this space for mirror brackets MKII. :)
Thanks Dennis this may be the answer to stop my trafficators from hitting on the mirrors. I have guard mirror brackets bolted there at the moment & because the mirror is higher the trafficators only come out 1/2 way. I too am not a fan of mounting them on the guards 1st because they crack the guards & 2nd I find it too hard to see with them.

As can be seen in this photo the mirror head is in line with the trafficator & if I move it forward to miss I can only see the plains that are approaching from the rear:o
I had a productive afternoon which I'm excited to share.
Firstly I made a CUSTOM battery holder.
I had to make one cut in a bit of angle iron & drill 2 holes.:spudniklifter:

I also created a CUSTOM remote brake booster stabilizing device out of some sort of shiny metal. (this was last week but you get the idea :) )

I also took a non descript piece of grey metally stuff that I'd liberated from the steel bin at work & created THIS Custom rear vision mirror bracket to suit a Series Land Rover ;) (pre Series 3)

I also replaced all of the rubbery bits in the cab.
I had to adjust the hand brake because the new rubber held the lever properly so the hand brake didn't release all the way.

You may not find this exciting but I do.
New locks supplied in next day type time from Roverlord and installed.
Now both the door can be locked/unlocked & the car started with the SAME key:eek2:
We're getting close to RWC time :wasntme:
Got some new seats because TGC couldn't depress the clutch fully because the old foam compressed too much and the old seats weren't much good.
These bolts are WAY annoying to do.

Tried to replace the rear pinion seal but for the life of me I couldn't undo the flange nut.
I've introduced it to lashings of WD40 so I'll have another crack tomorrow.
I need to get new seats for mine ,may I ask where you got them
Cheers Paul
