Where can I buy a heater tap cable?

    Hi all

One thing that I am struggling to locate on any parts website is a heater tap control cable.

Any ideas? I see there is one to suit a mini on ebay. This may suit?

    Which heater?
On a Series III there is the UK heater and the Australian heater. Taps are different and in different positions.
Did the IIa have a factory heater ?

How is the cable operated ? Like the one in the link or lever at the side of the dash like the Series III ?

    Choke cable from a wreck

    Hello from Brisbane.

Assuming this is not a standard heater fitted to a Series 2a my guess is that the choke cable off any older English car would do the trick. Challenge is to find something that old these days.

    Cheers,

If it is a normal choke type push-pull cable they are available at the likes of autobarn etc. Failing that it is possible to get special cables made, if you have most of the old 1 still. Somewhere like this maybe Cables and Controls | Ph (02) 8649 1442

My heater is the round one like in the attached picture. The heater tap is at the back of the block and uses a standard solid cable like a choke cable.

I could use another choke cable, but I just wanted a button with a heater symbol, so I might just use the Mini cable.

    Thanks
