Thread: Series 2 intro

Stripped down steering relay at work today housing has hairline crack shaft gone so it's a bin job for that one
so is genuine definitely the go or are the beamach relays ok

There was a NOS steering relay on Ebay (US) last week in excess of $500.
At that price a Bearmach one is definitely acceptable.

Got little bit more done over last week dumb iron rust cut out and radiator surround mount on front chassis refitted.

Decided to have a crack at the steering relay tube today getting the last half of old tube out was a bit of a challenge but all out nicely
New tube fitted tight into the what you would call a strengthening ring at the bottom inside of chassis were the locating ring for relay bolts to on the crossmember
All welded in and done

Just noticed this number painted on chassis in white grey paint would it have been the employee number who built it

Today's job was the front fuel tank mount repair

Finally after 7 months of searching I found and it got here today from Nsw a series 2 2.25 engine going by the engine number a late 59 model as engine number is 151991987
so close as I am going to get to a 1960 it has been in a series 3 so will need to remove a few items
I have swan neck exhaust manifold c39 generator solex etc etc ready for it so will look as close as possible to as it was built

Haven't had much time to work on the old girl lately so just cleaned up and primered the air cleaner and mount
