Another steering relay drama
Having read wide and varied, i decided to not remove the relay, but to pull it apart in situ.
The OWM suggests "Securing a strong sack on the lower half of the relay and then mount the unit in a vice with the bottom pointing downwards into the sack." This is where staff cadet McMurran comes into the picture.
Dad, after a shed cleanout, gave me a heap of cool things, one being an aluminium trunk. Inside was a Vietnam era flying suit and S/C A.McMurran's issue laundry bag. Just the special tool I needed.

Not a lot of lube there.
Still havnt got the shaft out yet. Getting a bit late to be whacking steel objects with other steel objects.
