What comes off first, fuel tanks or rear body ?

    Hi All,

I have just taken out the seat box from my S2A, after guards, wings, firewall, floor etc.

Now looking at the bolts at the back of the fuel tanks, they're quite difficult to get to, but so are the bolts near by that attach the rear body to the chassis.

Any advice on which order things should come out would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    John

I took the fuel tank out before I pulled the tub off when I stripped the Series 3. No particular reason why, just worked out that way. The mounting bolts for the fuel tank were the worst to get undone on the whole car, if it's any consolation.

    Cheers,

Easier to take the tub off first, but not an enormous amount of difference.

I originally thought access to the tub nuts is blocked by the fuel tanks, but it turns out those are captive nuts on one of those mounting/fixing plates, so the tub bolts came out easily.

Thanks for the guidance guys !!

    Cheers,
    John
