You buying me a drink would be most acceptable Harry, and I'm local to you too...
oh, I don't have the tools you need though...
I am looking for the Land Rover special tool p/n 270304 which consists of two blocks which bolt to the crankcase to assist fitting of the rear main seals when refitting the bearing cap.
I got around to replacing the gearbox due to a jumping out of gear problem then decided to check the clutch which was covered in oil, so now am replacing the rear main seals.
does anyone have a pair of these blocks that I may borrow for a short while?
I see they are available in the land of the pom for about 40 GBP, which is not to my liking.
If all else fails, I will make them, but it would be nicer to borrow if I can, perhaps I can buy you a drink?
Thanks for looking.

Harry,
they are very easy to make.
I knocked this up from a piece of 8mm thick aluminium flat.
It did the job, so far no leaks.
Cheers, Mick.
