They are climbing fast.
I put a vehicle on club plates back in March and it was in the 78000's.
Congratulations on the "red" plates Chops, enjoy driving it, as I know you will!
Great to see so many old vehicles preserved and getting the occasional run to pump the oil around!
Cheers, Mick.

Well, we have pedal
A HUGE thank you goes out to Chris (rangieman) for his help over the last two nights. He's sat there pumping the pedal, and then a hand pump for what seems hours to get the brakes up.
So ultimately, a new master cylinder saw the tube mating connections "not mate".
Turns out the original had a ball fitting, which I'm not sure I've actually seen before as such, at least when it was explained to me at the brake shop. So, we had an "inny and an outy" as explained by Chris to Leeanne,,, 😊 M/F on the old one, and two innies, on the new one. Something for anyone replacing these to be aware of,,, check your pipe ends carefully.
So last night saw us pump more air than you can push with a stick into the system. Last night, again after another 12 hour shift, saw us then replacing the main pipe and trying to get the air out.
Trying with the brake pedal was impossible,, so we rigged up a pressure system with a hand pump,, should have used the compressed air, but a bit late to be starting that up, so by hand it was. Success, well, sort of,, took a lot of Chris's effort to pump for so long. Can't say I've ever had such dramas before. It seemed as if we were doomed for failure, but then Chris put in a mighty effort on pumping the pedal, we cracked all four again a few times,, and alas, we have pedal 😁
It's still there this morning, so the final test will be when I go for a spin tonight when I get home.
Can then get on with the job of packing the car/trailer and head to Wombat for the weekend 😁😁😁
Marcus,
You found double & 'bubble' flares.
BRAKE LINES - Single vs Bubble vs Double Flared
You should have shouted, I have a flaring tool and could have made up the pipes you need.
Glad to hear the Master Cylinder fitted OK, I'm home tonight if you are out for a drive (have to head out just after 9pm to collect one of the boys from Venturers).
Safe trip to & from Wombat.

Well, brakes work really well,, very pleased. Thanks again Chris.
I've got some wood in the back of her for our little arken fire at the trailer for the weekend at Wombat,,, I'd better chuck some tools in I suppose,, just to be on the safe side
Can't wait,
