I drive mine as often as I can around Bemm, maybe once a fortnight I'll drive to Orbost or Cann River both about 120ks round trip runs like a dream......but it did take me about twelve months of tinkering to get it running sweet and stopping, clutch is not 100% yet but I believe it's slop or ware in linkages not to fussed will probably extend rod....but will be more vigilant next time I've got a car in pieces before rebuild.

You will find you will get more than the defender wave with all manner of cars and motorcycles thumbs upping enjoy your ride they are fun to drive and very capable of road

PS fly screens on the vents are a good thing if you haven't already got them

    Cheers Paul

Yep, not quite the same when a Series comes towards you & you are in a powered window vehicle & have to find the window switch & drop the window before you can give a good wave. A wave is not always visible through the windscreen depending on reflections etc.

Series is a quick slide of the glass & away you go.

    WHAT! No USB Ports?

Cap. No biggy. Mine was simply made with a bit of 2mm Ally sheet. Easy to source & work. Have a photo somewhere of one I made way back.

    Johnboylandy may have another suggestion.

Hey Carlos, it's from ebay "charlieccu", it's the 2.5" panel. You can get wider ones as well. It comes blank, and I drilled the two 52mm holes for the 2" gauges and smaller holes for the warning lights.

    Cheers,
    John

There's a ciggie lighter, so a USB adapter will have to do :-) There was a ciggie lighter socket in the vehicle when I bought it, so a rather large hole to fill, so I just replaced it with a new one from Jaycar.

Thanks Ian, yeah definitely up for a trip out.

I'm thinking about taking one week of work, and just get it done, doing it on weekends only is really dragging it out when I'm so close now.

    Cheers,
    John
