    2nd - 3rd gear bush

    Hi all.
Does anyone know if the split bush (modified - s111?) will fit a std s11A (suffix F) gearbox?. I have found some mentions of the split bush on other threads, but can't find the answer to the above.

Also in need of a clutch throwout fork and a radiator support panel (late 11a type - headlights in guards).
    Thanks for any info.
    Andy

The 2nd - 3rd gear bush is the same on all series boxes, so any will fit.

HOWEVER - DON'T use the split bush, just get a good quality 1-piece one. The split bush is a silly idea.

    Thanks for ypour response isuzurover
I understood that the split bush was a mod to prevent the splitting of the original bush.
I could not work out how the second part of the bush is prevented from spinning with the gear, but having not seen one as yet there may be a simple answer. Is the one piece stronger or are there other issues with the split bush?
    Thanks
    Andy.

Exactly, that is the problem, it isn't!!! And if I remember correctly, there are splines under it, rather than a smooth shaft.

I rebuilt my gearbox about 6 years ago using a new, one-piece bush. I have had to pull it apart a few times since (broke 1st gear, etc). The bush was still in 1 piece last I looked.
