    Hi Brains Trust

Is the picture attached the correct bonnet mount rubber for the spare wheel? These were sent to me but are a lot different to the one's that were on the bonnet of Ralph and Smeg (my S3), Gotta mount up the wheel for Anzac Day as we have cars driving the veteran's in the march.
    Thx in Advance
    Ian

I know of three types, and that does not look like any of them.

    1. Two bolt rectangular with rounded corners, recessed bolt holes.
    2. Single bolt, 5cm round, with a hole for the bolt and a hollow in the top for the head of the bolt.
    3. Round, 5cm diameter , 12mm thick, integral bolt, smooth top.

These are almost certainly in date order.

    Thanks John
Thought they were the wrong ones. They are totally different to everything I have seen before and I dont want to make the holes in the bonnet any bigger, I have another mate I was just talking to who might be able to use them on his Series 2 as it has a tdi style recessed bonnet. I will have to look for something else.

I wasn't going to put a wheel on the bonnet for the march, s'pose I could if I had three assistants to fit it, but I would never be able to lift the bonnet to check the oil.
I don't think I will carry a spare for this day, as getting rid of it will give the pax more room and visibility in the back.
that picture is nothing like my bonnet rubber jiggers.

I'm probably going to ditch the spare for the Anzac march as well Harry, I would have to be unlucky to get a flat on such a short run. Don't like the look of the rubbers sent and I don't want to enlarge the holes that are there now anyway. I will have to look some more for the correct ones.

The buffer you have is for the 90/110

Hopefully you don't need the mount with the integral bolt.
