My series 3 with a a nice collection of landys together for a pic
i wouldn't worry about a paintbrush finish, photos tell lies ...
that one that you see of mine is brushpainted, bodgefilled and rough..
many folks this way either brush or roller paint thier landrovers, many folks that have a really nice spray job done on thier motor then are too scared to drive it on anything but the gentlest of terrain..
the chairman of my local little club has all the gear on his landy, expedition rack, rooftent, jerry cans, spotlights, winch, hilift jack, almost everything for a week/month in the wilds, he won't even come out for some gentle greenlaning and exploring in case he scratches his paintwork or gets a bit of dirt in it...
he's a person for prime mickey taking and every now and then i do
Hi all, I took Willy up to Toolangi a few weeks ago. We got nicely stuck as you can see.
My front left drum filled with mud or something only three of willy's wheels were turning, making it almost impossible to steer away from the boggy ruts. But still a great day out!
I'm pleased to say that Willy almost got everywhere the Jeep did........ almost..
Here are some oldies, but they're goodies!

Here is another good thread for Series landys

Hi all
Here's a few pics of the 3 on a 2 week trip up the coast we did earlier this year. First shot is from Mount Seaview where we found some pretty good tracks around the area. We camped most nights on the trip and the tub and tailgate on the series were made for it ( seats, a cutting board, lamp holder, clothes line etc). We took Forbes river road through to Wauchope then on up the coast where the last photo was taken on a beach track. Made it back to Tamworth with the only war wounds being a flat and a broken starter motor a week in. We used the crank handle for most starts which worked well. Another bonus of the series vehicles.
Hi guys,
After being laid up for a couple of months i decided to stretch my stumpys legs on a beach trip we had organised, it was a sunny day so decided to go roofless. The Toyota drivers enjoyed the rooster tails, not bad for a 2 1/4.
I have just been perusing this thread (didn't know about it before) and it has rekindled my desire for a s3 SWB. I have "evil plans" for a s3 based project and am hollowing out a volcano as we speak...
Not in action, but thought that this thread shouldn't die!
