    ex army series 3 109

Gday folks, I've got a series 3 ex army landy, mods incl lt85 5 speed, 3500 v8 and salisbury as well as 92 defender coil spring suspension. Its got the hduty rear panniers and the bonnet furniture for shovel, axe and spare. She's not running but alot of time and money has gone into her over the years, no engineers but work carried out by land rover specialists... Interested in what you guys think she's worth???

    What he said.

Being modified means it won't appeal to those looking for a piece of history, particularly regarding it's military history.

It will appeal to some, but expect to lose a LOT (read: almost all) of the time and money you have put into it in resale value.

    Pics help.

As Shonky says - being modified is not a plus - and it is very rare for anyone to recover even a small fraction of the money and work they put into a vehicle, even if it is just restoration and repair.

Of course, if by chance, it is exactly what someone is wanting, and you have saved them a lot of work, then you could get lucky and recover maybe 10% of what you have spent. But this is a long shot.

    What is a car worth?

A car is worth what someone will pay for it.
I have a coiled Series III Stage 1, Range Rover running gear, 3.5V8 on gas, constant 4WD, 4 wheel disc brakes, power steering, etc.
I have been offered $1.5k (scrap value).
Recently I have spent around 8k rebuilding the motor. Two LR mechanics/enthusiasts have said to me "Nice rig. Do you want to sell it?" They're expecting to pay around the 2-3k mark. When you say you would expect around the 8-10k mark because the motor has just been rebuilt, they're likely to laugh and tell you you're dreaming.
I would suggest an ex-army vehicle is more valuable in its original state to a collector.
Now that it's modified (and sounds like a very good, capable machine), why don't you go out and enjoy the fruits of your labour. Who knows, whilst you are out and about, someone may approach you and say "Nice rig. Do you want to sell it?" and not baulk at the price you want. I've seen that happen before (a few times).
