    Operating temp for 2.6 litre

So in my continuing efforts to sort out the cooling problems on the 2.6 litre six i am chasing details on what is the operating temp range for this motor. I am going to try and source an aftermarket gauge and would like to know what is acceptable water temp for this motor.

According to my workshop manual, the thermostat should start to open at 71-76C, fully open at 88C. This suggests a normal operating temperature of 80-90C.
