Your tank appears to be home made, or at least after market.

chilly - ran out of fuel the other day. well almost. very low on fuel and was going down hill and it started spluttering. started going uphill and it would get enough fuel and run normal. my house site and street are definitely not flat and it did this a few times whilst i was moving my car around. so i figured the pick up in the tank is in a position where if going uphill it will be able to access the last of the fuel while if going downhill it can't. makes sense - gives you the best chance to get up and over an incline/hill if running low on fuel.

worth keeping in mind if you stray too far from the original tank design.

Mate, petrol theft happens all the time here in some area's of the Gold Coast. A kid at my sons school, his parents have had the petrol syphoned out of their old Mitsubishi about 4 times (you'd think they would learn after the 1st time).

Plan to cut the steel, bend and weld at work. So not a problem making. Plus it will be FREEEE!!!

Go idea to allow for pick up...seem to remember tanks having a 'pool' were the pick up pipe is.
