Looks like a project Jason! It appears to be all there, and just needs some of your special TLC.
Colour ? .... make it a matching half to your wagon ... just a thought! :)
Have fun with it and keep us updated with progress & photo's!
Cheers
Good luck with it Jason.
Little box behind the cab is I think an vapour expansion box for the fuel tank. Part of the emmission control system. My 88 has one tucked in the front of the rear wheel arch I think it was (currently sitting in one of the many crates of part waiting to be put back together).
'Priscilla' sounds like a good name for it however. Any votes for Priscilla?:p
Cheers

Tell ya what it was bloody hot out there with no shed to work in ,painting time should be good outside....
Must be a real quick machine - look at all the cobwebs. :eek2: :wasntme:
Got the same spring hanger setup on the OKA (2 holes) for both ends of the spring. With the OKA its to allow for vehicle height setting for different weight bodies such as ute, extra cab and full body variants. Big sticker on the door tells me not to use the high setting under a certain GVM or I'll chew out the uni's. Didn't know Landys had this though.
Deano:)
Just caught up here, I have been busy learning the new job. Glad to see you and Karen are back together again Banj, I sincerely hope it works out this time for you. What happened to the green beasty??????? Looks like you have an interesting project there, mate!!!!!!!
well ok i found on the bottom of the doors today the words fire brigade. So i doubt my chassis is a military one but it does have the military style front dumb irons & where the rear springs atatch to the chassis there are to holes one lower then the origanal..So i wonder if its a 1 ton chassis is there a differance between a standard series 3 chassis & a series 3 1 ton chassis ......
Ahwell body off next then engine & box then diffs ..have to cut some stuff off the chassis where it looks like plates where welded on as brackets so will be taking those off & noticed the rear brake hose is mounted in the wrong spot on the chassis.also has some big angle iron welded on for some reason so that has to come off..
Then i'll get the power steering box & get that all sorted ,welded & bolted on then some new springs & bushes ..
Going to use the diff casing off the one that was in the back as it has the extra bracing like military or the option what ever way you want to look at it...
I have to get some colour charts & sort out a colour for it ..I like the idea of orange & black ,black roof ,black tray orange body BRIGHT orange but don't know wether to paint the bonnet black aswell ..
Taking the bullbar & winch off the green one as Karen doesnt need it for around here or shopping...
Wheels not to sure what to do there i was thinking of using the original centers & having them welded into 8" wide rims then paint them with 2pak black..or just get some disco rims & have them flipped or just get sunraisiers...
So you'll have a red one and a green one eh? :p
