G'Day Brian. Are you back home yet???:D
Hi Steve yeah i will be using a LC 60series seering box ..I have it now & marked it all up over the weekend so if the weather stays good ill get out there & get it all done ..Not to sure if i will use a range rover seering column this time just depends on what i can get me hands on but using the RR column was easy the last one was out of an 82 model from memery.I'll post up pics of it all the way through if anyone wants me to.moving the battery tray this time will be easy as its a tabletop..i could of left the original in the green one but raised it to clear the new shaft.
I am also thinking of putting some kits together if i can get the boxes but the cost of the xray on the steering shaft after its welded is $300 thats for a travers hardness & xray..& there would still be some welding required but i would supply everything ..
Well went & done some to Harry today..Would of got most of it done if my electric drill did'nt start to smoke heaps then catch on fire..
I already had it marked out where the plates where to go & how much needed cutting..
Where it was marked.

Just need to get some 2mm sheet to box the cut out section & its done i will post up pics of it as i go still...
Still have to cut gearbox Xmember so it can be bolted in that way i dont have to pull the seats & seat box (bass) out with the floor if i ever have to pull the gearbox out wen its all finished..
Making some progress mate.
Jason, what did you paint the chassis with?
Cheers
