Bugger! I have seen one of those somewhere, but just can't place it, might not even be Landy, but I have seen one!
Sorry I can't help!
I'll probably wake up tonight a 4am and yell "Ah-ha!"

Some help please, oh Landrover Gurus.
Found this bracket thingy on Bellas parcel shelf last night, as I was removing it (pretty sure it doesn't go there).
Had a look in my manuals for a picture but couldn't find anything.
Can somebody please tell my what it is?
Thanks in advance,
Marty.

guess - bracket for original generator, removed when alternator was retrofitted
If it's any help, the grime on it looks gearboxy, or rear enginey... maybe??!!??
have you got a crank driven winch ??
it looks as if it's a stand off for the engagement gear parts
(i'm probably way off the mark)
give micheal the banana..
2.25 generator mount Although it could also be a modded one to take a bosch alternator

Its a bracket from a capstan winch, not sure if its off a 6 or 4 cyl, but probably off a 2A
here is a link from the series 2 club in the uk to prove it

Ok thanks to everyone. I do have a capstan winch, so I'll have a sniff in that area to see if I can find a home.
