Well one hub done, but not that smooth. New brake shoes appear to be rubbing even though adjusters are wound right out...any clues for cause of this?

Yep, sounds the same. To my knowledge the drums are original ie. not machined.

New shoes are Britpart from LR parts dealer here in Auckland.

My brake setup does not look like yours,

I will have another crack this weekend and see if I can work it out, otherwise be prepared for more photos and questions....

Update...LHS one wheel cylinder is frozen. Maybe that was the cause of the original braking trouble......

I didn't find frozen wheel cylinders but two were leaking so I replaced them all.

I assume you have a LWB and two cylinders on each wheel?

Yep LWB with 2 cylinders per wheel. Just going to replace one at the moment, and bleed the whole system. Others seem fine....
