Thank you Karl
G'day Karl,
Thank you very much for your help. From this information I have a known quantity to work with.
So here goes some Saturday morning mathematics....
If you paid $155 for your SWB Chassis at a rate of $1.05 per Kilo then
$155.00 / $1.05 = 147.62 so this means the SWB chassis weighs 147.62 kilograms.
The length of a SWB is 3617 mm
So if I divide 147.62 into the length of a SWB I will get the weight per mm.
3617 / 147.62 = 24.50 kilograms per mm of length
A LWB is 4445 mm so if the gauge of steel used in the chassis in both the SWB and the LWB is the same a kilograms per mm of length will work out to be ...
4445 / 24.50 = 181.43 kilograms for the LWB chassis
Okay does this sound right to everybody out there or have I broken a series of fundamental maths rules?
Kind Regards
Lionel

I think your maths is good but is there extra cross members?
Use a per mm calc and work out the total length of the chassis components instead of an average chassis length
