lt95 T/C OIL and Thrust washers.

I would like to offer my head to those that wish to kung fu me as ive spat a thrust washer from the intermediate gear within the intermediate gear cluster. Is probably becauase of the personal pressures of finance and bloody lady in my life giving me a hard time!!!!!!!!! making my head not run straight!!!!!!!!!

Anyways I need new thrust washers. Ive looked at Les Richmond Automotive and they recommend washers of a certain thickness (4 of them) the thrust washers are of a different thichnesses moving i think the constant mesh gear 1mm closer to the High speed gear on the intermediate gear cluster to reduce jumping out of High range. Wouldn't that just increase the likelihood of Low range popping out? Or would i just get some washers from Four wheel drives Blackburn/Boxhill? Anybody have tips doing this from underneath? Also i know not to use EP90 in transfer box as it tends to destroy phosphorous washers, which slipperiest stuff to use to reduce thrust washer wear and reduce heat. thanks

I hope you haven't been driving it for a long time with worn thrusts, or the intermediate shaft oil gallery will be full of swarf and the needle rollers dead.

You should also check the overall length of the gear cluster as if too short it will crush the nylon cages of the needle rollers.
