I've been looking for a while now and have had no luck finding a set of offset rims for my Series III. But I have a few questions:
1) Do Range Rover, Jeep, 5 stud Land Cruiser, Sierra rims fit?
2) Can I fit a 15 inch rim over the standard Series III drum brakes?
3) Where can I find a fairly cheap set ($0-$250) of 15/16 inch medium offset Sunraysia rims to fit my Landy?
Cheers in advance,
Kyle![]()
A simple search on this forum would give you the answers re RR wheels. In fact, JDNSW answered the same question tonight. http://www.aulro.com/afvb/showthread...02#post1627102
Re offset, all LR wheels have offset. What offset do you want?

Thanks for the quick replies. I'm looking for something more than original offset, not sure how much, maybe 400mm-600mm? I just want a wider wheel track and for the Tyres to sit flush or stick out a bit from the body to protect the body panels a bit more when off-roading.

If your series wheels are anything like defender wheels they will be 5 1/2 in. wide. and +33mm offset. If you get some disco 1 steel wheels they will have the same offset but as they are wider you will get some extra track (don't know if they will rub on the inside).
Is you budget for ea. wheel or for a set? because if for ea. you can get new ones from any wheel supplier for that money.
You are going to have to forget alot of the Jap orientated 4WD stuff you have been fed, as landies are quite a bit different. They work by suspension flex, gear reduction and driver finesse, not horsepower and Brute force.

edit: Slug Burner, he has disco rims already fitted. See here

Slug_Burner: Cheers for the replies and as Col stated, I already have disco rims fitted. My budget was for the lot.
Col.Coleman: PM sent. I understand what you mean with crawler ratios, driver finesse and suspension articulation. My and my dad have been 4wding for quite some time now and I can safely say I prefer crawling through a creek bed than plowing up a hill with the engine screaming, a lot less stress on the car and much more enjoyable![]()
