Don't see why not, that's the tire size those rims are made for.
Although, I'd probably go for the good old Dunlop RTM, if they are still available.
Hello again from Brisbane.
A quick one on tyres for a S3 SWB with 109"model wheels.
Will the Dunlop Road Gripper 7.50 X 16 tyres fitted standard to a new trayback Landcruiser fit the Series rim?
Cheers,

Hello again from Brisbane.
Yes, I assumed they were the same size but nothing in this world surprises me much anymore.
My truck needs 5 new tyres and with mining boom etc Landcruiser sales remain strong. One by-product is the number of young bucks deciding to go for after market wheels and tyres from new. So, there seems to be a lot of near new Road Grippers quietly up for sale for quite a lot less than the new replacement cost.
So, just checking for the hidden flaw in my thinking......
Cheers,
Hi LWB123
A few things that may be worth considering.
Firstly is speedo calibration. The SWB and LWB have a different speedo ratio and this is to do with tyre sizes (smaller on a SWso understandably your speed and distance will be out of whack using bigger tyres. You can swap speedos or have it recalibrated if needed.
The other thing to consider is the design of the SP road gripper. I did a lot of looking before I put new tyres on my series 3. See the pics of what I got for mine on post number 23 of this thread:

These cost me $189 each fitted and balanced from memory. Same story as the SPs, these were take offs from a new truck. I asked what was better (the tyre place had several sets of SPs and a set of these, both close to the same price, they said to go for these ones, more tread, quieter ride and modern design pattern while still having a classic look to them like the SP.
Now done about 10000km on them and love them. So quiet (a lot quieter than a road gripper would be apparently). Plus don't even look like they have been used at all.
Also found out the road gripper take off is around $200 on average with rims and tubes which won't fit a landy, a new one anywhere from $220 to $240 at the time (late last year), whereas the tyres I went with are a $300+ tyre new and still currently available. A lot of tread compared to the SP and a stronger tread pattern too. Less areas that can have the tread damaged off road yet still rated as a M&S standard tyre. They were dead against the SP, saying that they did not think I'd like the on road handling.
Hope this helps.
I have Road Grippers, removed from a new Land Cruiser when the upped their tyre size, on my 2a.
There has been no problems at all.
in PNG the non govt organisation troopy lasted 17000km on the traditional super gripper road slipper. they don't like tar roads and although the highlands highway is not good it still manged to stuff them quickly.
SP is definitely better and I use them as a spare for the michelin XZA I use as road tyres.
